Rabat - Islam Slimani, the Muslim striker for the Portuguese side of Sporting CP and the Algeria national team, was reportedly furious after getting doused with champagne following Portugal's Super Cup win over Benfica on Sunday.
Sporting's Marcelo Boeck poured champagne over team mate Islam Slimani as the team celebrated victory over Benfica at Estadio Algarve on August 9, 2015 in Faro, Portugal.
The 27-year-old Algeria international reportedly got angry at Boeck after he poured alcohol over him-which is forbidden in Islam- as they partied on the pitch after their 1-0 victory over Benfica.
Colombia's Teo Gutierrez struck the winning goal for Sporting.
