Rabat- It seems that the direction of Raja of Casablaca was determined to hire a Tunisian coach no matter what.
After Nabil Maaloul, the former coach of Tunisia’s national team and the Esperance of Tunis, was prevented from rescinding his contract with the Doha-based Al Jazeera Sport channel, the Moroccan team hired his fellow countryman Faouzi Benzerti.
According to Moroccan news portal Menara, the direction of Raja has officially finalized its negotiations with the Tunisian coach, who is reported to arrive in Casablanca next Monday.
Last Thursday, the Casablanca team decided to sack Moroccan coach Mohamed Fakhir.
The dismissed coach was instrumental in helping Raja of Casablanca win Morocco’s football soccer last year, which qualified the club to participate in the FIFA Club World Cup scheduled to take place from 9 to 21 December in Morocco.
