Casablanca- According to Spanish news outlet ABC, 20-year-old Moroccan journalist, Ghizlane Amjoud managed to infiltrate the camp of Jihadists in Syria, while presenting as a professional cook.
Of a Syrian mother, the young journalist, who works for "Sahifat Annas," impersonated a Syrian orphan to enter Idlib, a city controlled by three main groups of jihadist fighters: the Free Syrian Army (FSA), Syrian Islamic Front (FIS) and the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant ( EIIL ), a group believed to linked to Al- Qaeda.
To get there, she needed a "Mahram ", a sort of guardian, as women did not have the right to move on their own in the vicinity. It took her three months to gain the trust of a guardian there.
Once she got there, she was placed with a widow who lost, in addition to her husband, three of her children in the combat against Bashar Al Assad’s regime.
Subsequently, Ghizlane managed to serve as a cook for some jihadists there.
However, Ghizlane Amjoud did not manage to talk or chat with any one of Jihadists. She has, however, learned more about their lifestyle.
