Fez- King Mohammed VI on Wednesday night congratulated the coach of Raja of Casablanca, Mr. Faouzi Benzarti.
In a phone call immediately after Raja’s historic win over Brazil’s Atletico Mineiro, the King congratulated the seasoned Tunisian coach and the players for their qualification to the final of the FIFA Club World Cup, which is taking place in Morocco from 11 through 21 December.
In a statement to Al Oula channel, Raja’s coach said he was "very honored" by this royal gesture.
"I'm very honored by the call of His Majesty the King. This is the greatest honor of all my sporting career. I am very grateful to His Majesty may God preserves him," said Mr. Benzarti. "I am unable to express my joy," he added.
Raja of Casablanca, which who beat Atlético Mineiro (champion of the Libertadores Cup) by 3 goals to 1, will face on Saturday in Marrakech, Bayern Munich, winners of the first semi-final against Guangzhou Evergrande from China.
