Casablanca- According to figures recently released by the Belgian daily Le Soir, Morocco is a favorite summer destination for the Belgians.
Along with Tunisia, Turkey, Spain and Greece, the kingdom of Morocco figured as Belgians’ favorite go-to summer destination.
According to Le Soir, Belgian tourists spent in 2013, 562,665 overnight stays in different Moroccan hotels.
Le Soir’s figures are based on figures from the two main Belgian tour operators: Neckermann and Jet Air.
The Moroccan tourism observatory also recently unveiled satisfactory figures on Morocco’s attractiveness, as the kingdom reached a score of 89 points out of a total of 100.
The figures were retrieved from an initial study based on a combination of overall satisfaction, tourists’ recommendation, intention to return and the competitiveness average compared to other destinations.
According to the same study, 75% of tourists who visited Morocco said they were “very satisfied” or “satisfied” with their travel experience in Morocco and 24 % said they were “quite satisfied”.
Marrakech, one of Morocco’s most famous cities at the international level, has proved to be a touristic magnet par excellence especially during the days leading to New Year celebration. Many celebs from all over the world picked up the city as their destination for New Year celebration.
American Pop Star Usher, Real Madrid’s Benzima, Moroccan-Dutch kickboxing star Bad Hari, France’s ex-President Nicolas Sarkozy and his wife are all but some of the international celebs who opted for the Southern Pearl as their New Year celebration.
