Following the administrative court's latest decision to urge Abdelilah Benkirane to implement the July 20th memorandum, the Justice Minister Mustafa Ramid opposed the legitimacy of the decision and went on to deem condition-free recruitment, the memorandum's sole demand, as going against the spirit of equal opportunity for all and favoring corruption.

During an appointment ceremony in Rabat, Ramid stressed that his "ambition is to see candidates competing against each other for a position instead of protesting in front of the parliament."

"Expecting the government to unconditionally recruit graduates is nonsensical," Ramid added in a statement.

In the same vein, the minister called on the government and Moroccans alike to abide by the law and to offer equal opportunities to all graduates. "The only way to avoid corruption, nepotism and bribery is to put a final end to condition-free recruitment," Ramid stressed.

The minister made it clear that transparency can only be attained by taking exams and passing them. “Passing entrance exams to any profession is the real criterion whereby we must single out the graduates who deserve something and rule out those who do not,” Ramid added.

Currently, the administrative court in Rabat is calling on Abelilah Benkirane to hasten and carry out the decision.

It is worth mentioning that the July 20th memorandum was previously signed by Abass Fassi's government to grant 2011's unemployed graduates condition-free recruitment.
