Rabat - The National Geophysics Institute recorded on Sunday morning three consecutive ground tremors in the provinces of Al Hoceima and Taza.
The same source said that the quake with a magnitude of 3.1 occurred at about 2:04 a.m, adding that the epicenter is located in the Sidi Abdelkader commune in Al Hoceima.
The second quake with a magnitude of 2.8 was recorded at 2:27 a.m. in the commune of Bord in the province of Taza.
The same source added that a third tremor with a magnitude of 3.1 took place in the commune of Ben Abdellah in Al Hoceima at 2:37 a.m.
Last month, a 3.7-magnitude tremor on the Richter scale was felt in the Al Hoceima province.
