Rabat - Morocco international Medhi Benatia has said that he is honored by the interest of Juventus, last season's UEFA Champions League runners-up.
"I am honored by interest from Juventus," the Moroccan told Tuttosport.
The Bayern Munich player has been liked with a move to the Italian side after just one season with the Bundesliga giants.
The defender made just 24 appearances for Pep Guardiola's side last season following his move from the Italian side of Roma.
Juventus are said to be seeking a new center back, especially due to the injuries suffered by Giorgio Chiellini and Andrea Barzagli.
The Bianconeri are thinking about 28-year-old Mehdi Benatia. The Italian club is said to be prepared to make an important investment to sign the Moroccan player.
Juventus have reportedly prepared around €26 million to bring the Moroccan back to the Italian top flight.
The Moroccan is reportedly frustrated with the lack of playing time at Bayern Munich.
He said he is open to move away from the Allianz Arena if he can be guaranteed more consistent game time elsewhere.
