Rabat- According to daily Akhbar Al Yaoum, a memorandum of understanding has been signed on Thursday on the sidelines of an international conference in the city of Marrakech on justice reform.
The agreement was signed between Africa 2.0 Morocco Association and the National Bar Association, America’s oldest and largest association of African American lawyers and judges.
The memorandum, signed by the NBA President Patricia Rosier and the chapter head of Africa 2.0 Morocco Association Rita Chami aims to bolster the role of non-governmental organizations in the African continent.
The first stage under this agreement will be to give a comprehensive presentation about the reality of NGO’s in the African countries that have been selected. The purpose is to propose methods to develop the role of these organizations by connecting them with their counterparts in the United States.
The two sides also agreed to provide assistance to African and American SMEs to be able to reinforce their activities in the African continent while stressing the important role played by the African civil society in the development of the continent.
